This Quarter we are featuring Chris Bowler the Chief Operating Office of Daytona Beverages
Christopher P. Bowler is Chief Operating Officer and part Owner of Daytona Beverages, distributors of Anheuser Busch INBEV and other craft and import products. Chris assumed this role in 2004 when he left PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and moved to Daytona Beach, Florida. Since 2004 Chris has played an instrumental role in growing the revenues of the business from $45 million to over $90 million.
Prior to his role at Daytona Beverages Chris was a Strategic Cost Consultant with PWC in New York City working in their Technology Revenue Maximization and Cost Minimization-Consulting Group. Prior to PWC Chris worked for Lucent Technology in their CFO organization graduating in the top of his class from their Financial Leadership Development Program. While at Lucent Chris held positions in the Corporate Finance Department, Legal Department, Mergers & Acquisitions Department, and Wireless Network Department. He was instrumental in overseeing a $11.2 billion dollar restructuring charge as the company retooled itself after the technology bubble in the late 90’s.
Since moving to Daytona Beach, Chris has played an active role in the community. He has participated as Chairman of the Board for the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Young Professionals Group, Member of the Mayor’s Kitchen Cabinet Committee, Member of the Beachside Redevelopment Committee, Board Member for the Daytona Beach City Visioning Committee, a Board Member for the Boys & Girls Club of Volusia & Flagler County, Board Member for Junior Achievement, Halifax Health Foundation, Halifax Area Advertising Authority Board of Directors, and the Mayor’s Task Force on Special Events. In 2005, he graduated from Daytona’s Leadership Development Program. In 2014 Chris was awarded the Young Leaders Award by the Community Foundation of Volusia and Flagler Counties as well as being named to the 40 Under Forty list by the Volusia/Flagler Business Report in 2014 and 2016 and winning the Young Civic Leader Award in 2016. In 2007 Chris was awarded the Young Business Leaders Award by the Business Report.
Chris received his undergraduate degree in Finance from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA and received his Masters in Accounting with a concentration in Strategic Cost Management & Entrepreneurial Finance from Babson College in Wellesley, MA.
Chris is married to Maja Sander Bowler and they reside in Daytona Beach, FL.
